Shatina McLean

Tina has been working in charter schools for the past seven years. Prior to that, she held Finance and Operations roles in the Private Sector. Tina’s passion for working with children drove her to shift her career to school-based roles. For the last five years, she has been at the NYC-based Public Prep Charter School Network.  Tina started out at Public Prep in a school-based operations leadership role before being promoted to a network role in Finance. She is well versed in DYCD contract registration, per-pupil billing & invoicing, as well as Out of District invoicing.  Her most recent title was Assistant Director of Finance. Tina has also served as a Grants Manager where she oversaw compliance with grant regulations and tracked and pursued reimbursements from COVID grants (CARES II and CARES III). 

 

She holds a BBA in Management from Iona College and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
